Burning Instruction
* Option 1 (Burn time: Approx 20-25 hours):
If you want to partially maintain the candle's shape and only burn the inside, please follow the steps below carefully:
1. Open the package by unscrewing hardware on both sides.
2. Trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting.
3. For the 1st burn, limit the burn time to 5 minutes. This step helps flatten the top of the candle to prevent the wax from spilling over.
4. From the 2nd burn onward, limit each burn to 1 hour. This will help control how the candle burns, as candle wax has a memory.
5. As you reach the bottom of the sphere, reduce the burn time to 30 minutes.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Extinguish the candle before the melting diameter reaches the edge, and avoid allowing the candle to spill over continuously. If wax begins to spill, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool down before the next burn. When relighting the candle after it has spilled over, burn it for only 5 minutes at a time for a few burns, then return to step 4 or 5.
* Option 2 (Burn time: Less than 2 hours):
If you want the candle to burn down freely and enjoy the beauty of the wax drapes, continue burning it. However, remember to place the candle on a large tray with a raised edge (minimum 8” diameter), as the candle may deconstruct quickly. Do not leave the lit candle unattended.
General Candle Care & Safety
Only burn on a flameproof plate or tray with a raised edge (8" in diameter or larger) and do not burn for longer than the time specified in the instruction for each candle.
For a clean burn, always trim the wick to ¼ inch each time you light a candle and remove any debris left in the wax pool such as wick trimmings or matches. Trimming wicks will help prolong the life of your candle.
Keep away from flammable objects and only burn on an even and level surface.
When burning a candle, avoid proximity to fans, air conditioners, open windows, or crowded areas with people walking back and forth.
Burn within sight and keep away from children and pets.
It is natural for soy wax to have a frosty surface.
Stop use when only 1/2" of wax remains.
Avoid direct sunlight.
